A Lazy Tuesday Afternoon
Another awesome reason to vote for Barack Obama :
"I will restore the basic principle that government decisions should be based on the best-available, scientifically-valid evidence and not on the ideological predispositions of agency officials or political appointees. More broadly, I am committed to creating a transparent and connected democracy, using cutting-edge technologies to provide a new level of transparency, accountability, and participation for America’s citizens."
They find a wicked cool intact mastodon skull in France.
Women apparently find all that bullshit in churches dis empowering. Who'd have thought. Check out the result! Having personally experienced this to some degree, it's fun to see that it happens on a large scale.
Burying women alive helps stop obscenity. If you aren't out there with a shovel, your community is clearly on the rocks.
The Human Rights Watch provides more insight to and instances of the problem.
On a different vein. I'm not sure a hygiene law directed at protecting both staff and patients against transferal of disease is really discrimination. I don't think the woman is considering that she is asking for special treatment for her modesty to the physical detriment of others. Maybe she and the Islamic Medical Association just consider it to be less important. Interesting order of events in any case.
These are just random links. I guess.
I mailed out checks (small ones) today to pay my loan payments. Bills make me feel amazingly accomplished for some reason. Cheers!
And I learned to use links in a post:P

The women leaving the church article is a good example of how when women have a better choice, they make it!
Great link roundup!
