One never grows accustomed to offensive idiocy

"His control group—who were all supposedly heterosexuals—is also in question because most of them had died of AIDS."

Now I do speed read. Sometimes I miss the nuance of a sentence and need to go back because it is too complex to fly through so quickly. This one I staggered through several times not because of speed but out of sheer goggling. Go ahead, go back and stare at it once more time. Yes, you're correct. It is indeed saying that the participants of a study are not heterosexual because they had AIDS. Only gay people get AIDS! (headesk)

"Those who practice homosexual behavior are at much higher risk for many sexually transmitted diseases, including not just HIV, but also syphilis, gonorrhea, human papilloma virus (HPV), hepatitis, chlamydia, and a whole group of infections called “gay bowel syndrome.”

"When a person embraces a homosexual identity, they are basically being defined (however unconsciously) by the wounds of their past (absent/abusive parent, teasing and isolation from peers, etc.) We believe a more healthy approach is to confront those lies that we have believed since childhood and basically undo them by believing the truth. It is important for the struggler to dig deep and discover what it was in their past that convinced them they were defective as male or female."

Those are only a few of the goodies that await you. Defective?

So, this delightful tidbit of knowledge I'm certain you were lacking came from the Day Of Truth ( http://www.dayoftruth.org/about/default.aspx ) website links for knowledge on homosexuality. This particular line was crafted by Exodus.

These two are full of all sorts of exciting things that I sure never realized.

Sarcasm aside, I've participated in the Day of Silence since I was 15. I don't think it ever occured to me that protesting unfair, cruel, malicious, discriminatory treatment is somehow an effort to prevent people from speaking the truth. Mind you, by their numbers, this movement hasn't taken off nearly so well as the actual day of silence.

ps. economy please pick up so that people will tip me the monies. thx
